Security

Personal data on the website and online credit card transactions are transmitted via a secure server. We are committed to maintaining a high level of information security for your personal information. We take appropriate physical, electronic and administrative steps to maintain the security and accuracy of the personally identifiable information we collect, including limiting the number of people who have physical access to our database servers and implementing electronic security systems and password protection to help prevent unauthorized access.

Our website uses encryption technology, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) services, to protect your personal information during transmission. SSL encrypts information such as your name, address and credit card number. Our customer service and stores also operate on a private, secure network.

Please note that email is not encrypted and cannot be considered a secure transmission of credit card information. We never request credit card information via email.

Privacy Policy

In order to provide you with the highest quality products and services, we use information from our interactions with you and other customers and third parties.
Because we respect your privacy, we have implemented procedures to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and responsibly.
We have published this Privacy Policy in order to explain our data collection practices and the decisions we make about how we collect and use the information you provide.
As we are continually developing and using the Winkstores.com website, and taking advantage of advances in information technology, this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We therefore encourage you to periodically review this description to understand our current privacy policies.

Legal Basis for Data Processing

1. Consent of the data subject

(1) The lawfulness of the processing of personal data must be based on the consent of the data subject or on another lawful basis established by law.

(2) In the case of data processing based on the consent of the data subject, the data subject may give his consent to the processing of his personal data in the following form:

a) in writing, in the form of a declaration of consent to the processing of personal data,

b) electronically, by explicit conduct on the Company's website, by ticking a checkbox or by making relevant technical settings when using information society services, as well as any other statement or act which, in a given context, clearly indicates the data subject's consent to the intended processing of his personal data.

(3) Silence, a pre-ticked box or inaction shall therefore not constitute consent. (4) Consent shall cover all data processing activities carried out for the same purpose or purposes.

(5) Where data processing serves multiple purposes, consent shall be given for all purposes of data processing. Where the data subject gives his/her consent following an electronic request, the request shall be clear and concise and shall not unnecessarily hinder the use of the service for which consent is requested.

(6) The data subject shall have the right to withdraw his/her consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of data processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal. The data subject shall be informed of this before giving his/her consent. The withdrawal of consent shall be made possible in the same simple manner as its giving.

2. Performance of a contract

Data processing shall be deemed lawful if it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party or in order to take steps at the data subject’s request prior to entering into a contract.

The data subject’s consent to the processing of personal data that is not necessary for the performance of a contract shall not be a condition for entering into a contract.

3. Compliance with a legal obligation applicable to the data controller or the protection of the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person

The legal basis for data processing is determined by law in the event of compliance with a legal obligation, so the data subject's consent is not required for the processing of his or her personal data.
The data controller is obliged to inform the data subject about the purpose, legal basis, duration of data processing, the identity of the data controller, as well as his or her rights and legal remedies.
In order to comply with a legal obligation, the data controller is entitled to process the data set that is necessary for the performance of a legal obligation applicable to him or her after the data subject has withdrawn his or her consent.

4. Performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the data controller, the legitimate interests of the data controller or a third party.

The legitimate interests of the controller, including the controller to whom the personal data may be disclosed, or of a third party, may constitute a legal basis for the processing, provided that the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not overridden, taking into account the reasonable expectations of the data subject in the context of his or her relationship with the controller. Such a legitimate interest may exist, for example, where there is a relevant and appropriate relationship between the data subject and the controller, for example where the data subject is a client of the controller or is employed by the controller.
In order to determine whether a legitimate interest exists, it is necessary to carefully examine, inter alia, whether the data subject can reasonably expect, at the time and in the context of the collection of the personal data, that the data subject may be processed for the purposes for which it was collected.
The interests and fundamental rights of the data subject may override the interests of the controller if the personal data are processed in circumstances in which the data subject does not expect further processing.

The regulations regarding data processing and the protection of visitors' personal data apply exclusively to natural persons, given that personal data can only be interpreted in relation to natural persons, therefore this data protection policy is binding only in relation to the processing of personal data of natural persons registering on the website.

The legal basis for data processing is the consent of the data subjects and the legitimate interest of the Data Controller in fulfilling the contract concluded between the data subject and the Data Controller (Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR).

The legal basis for data processing is, in particular, Sections 169 and 202 of Act CXXVII of 2017 on Value Added Tax, and Section 167 of Act C of 2000 on Accounting. Users of the Website accept the operation of cookies if they click on the “I understand” inscription placed on the Website. In the event of acceptance of the use of cookies, the information and consent also extend to the use of the website during subsequent connections of the user device.

The legal basis for data processing is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller in order for a contract to be concluded between the data subject and the Data Controller.

The legal basis for data processing based on cookies is the consent of the data subject or the express lack of interest in this regard as acceptance of consent, as an indicative behavior by which the user clicks on the Cookie acceptance and proceeds to the website.

The EDAA Trust seal

Countries participating in the European self-regulatory scheme for online behavioural advertising (OBA) must complete several steps to demonstrate their compliance with the EU principles on OBA.

Once they have self-certified their compliance, companies must undergo independent compliance certification by one of four certification bodies approved by the EDAA. The aim is for companies to not only claim that they offer a service that is transparent, optional and includes appropriate controls for their consumers’ online advertising preferences, but also to have this verified and confirmed by an independent party. This accountability benefits both consumers and the industry as a whole.

Certification bodies have been approved by the EDAA because they offer credible and effective solutions for corporate certification. As such, they can only award (or withdraw) the EDAA Trust Seal to a company based on its compliance with the scheme.

These organisations are completely independent from both the industry and the EDAA. The independent body’s review was initiated by the European Commission from the outset during the consultations and initial discussions on the self-regulatory approach and was made a key element of the Scheme to ensure that self-regulation is reliable and delivers meaningful results for consumers.

After a comprehensive and thorough 30-day monitoring period, successful companies are awarded the EDAA Trust Seal, which attests to the company’s good reputation and responsible behaviour towards the business community and consumers.

How we use Cookies and Web Beacons

A cookie is a small file that asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. If you agree, the file will be added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or recognize you when you visit a particular website. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you personally. By collecting and remembering information about your own needs, the web application can customize its operation to your needs.

We use traffic log cookies to determine which pages you use. This helps us analyze website traffic data and improve our website to better meet customer needs. We use this information only for statistical analysis purposes and then remove the data from the system.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website by allowing us to track which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie does not give us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you have shared with us.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies.
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually use your browser settings to decline cookies. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website's features.

A "web beacon" or "pixel tag" or "clear gif" is usually a single-pixel image that is transmitted from your computer or mobile device to a website.

We use cookies and web beacons to track the information in your shopping cart and remember you when you return to the website, as well as to identify the pages you clicked on during your visit to our website and the name of the website from which you came directly to the WinkStores website. We use this information to improve the design of our website, product selection, customer service and special promotions. Of course, you can disable cookies and web beacons on your computer by indicating this in your browser settings or preferences menus. However, some parts of our website may not function properly if you disable cookies. We may also use web beacons and other technologies to track whether our communications reach you, measure their effectiveness, or collect certain non-personal information about your computer, device or browser in order to enable us to better plan and deliver future communications.

We may contract with third parties who may use cookies and web beacons and collect data on our behalf or who provide services such as credit card processing, shipping, promotional services or data management. We call them our customer service partners. These third parties are prohibited by our contract with them from sharing the information with anyone else or with other partners.

The legal basis for data processing by cookies is the legitimate interest of the webshop. Which ensures the operation of the system process from business acquisition to contract fulfillment. If this system process is interrupted, it results in a decrease in competitiveness. Which is contrary to the regulations of the Civil Code, the E-Commerce TV and the GVH.
